Watchdog: WhatsApp not muted in Russia, woes not from limits
MOSCOW, Mar 17 (PRIME) -- Russia is not restricting work of messenger WhatsApp and its malfunctioning has nothing to do with the closure of other resources of the U.S.’ Meta Platforms, owner of social networks Facebook and Instagram, the communications service said on Thursday in a statement.
“The communications regulator does not explain the problems in service operations with the restrictions on other resources of Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram),” the statement read.
WhatsApp problems have been seen in other countries as well and resemble the glitches in Meta services in October 2021, responsibility for which was taken by the company.
